We’ve just launched our newest line of frames, The Natural Collection. Over the years, we’ve had many requests for an understated frame that simply highlights the beauty of reclaimed wood without overshadowing the artwork. With that in mind, we designed this collection of frames from reclaimed douglas fir and have finished them with our natural stain.
We handcraft The Natural Collection frames using the same premium reclaimed douglas fir that we use for our Standard Collection. To acquire a different look for this line, we have turned the boards to use the face grain on the front on the frame, instead of the side. This means that the cracks and other imperfections will be more visible. We sand them very smooth before applying our natural oil finish. The rustic beauty of the wood shines through in a modern looking frame.
