We will be writing a series of posts about the truly great green companies we support. We feel it is important to be as transparent as possible about where your dollars go when you purchase our frames. We make every effort to support small, like-minded companies that are producing high quality products. This is the first installment of this series.
In the interest of full disclosure, we now call the owners of Terressentials, Diana Kaye and Jim Hahn, our friends. That, however, is not why we support their company. Honest. We began using their line of organic body care products when I became very ill many years ago. I had made the switch to what I thought at the time was organic and natural, but I was still very sick after many months. I was confused when the labels of the products I was using claimed the ingredients were organic and natural. Surely the government had a program in place to monitor labels for products we put on our skin, right?
Unfortunately, this is not the case. The NY Times just wrote about the lack of current labeling standards. What the article fails to mention is that there is a company that has been handcrafting USDA Certified Organic body care products for almost 20 years. Jim and Diana, the owners of Terressentials, have not only been making products that are safe for us to use on our bodies, but they have been fighting tirelessly for truth in labeling. Their passion and integrity in everything they do is absolutely inspiring. Since I made the switch to their products, my health issues have improved by leaps and bounds. Really. I love knowing that what I put on my body has been made by caring people from truly natural ingredients. No chemicals, no factory, and no corporation.
We believe wholeheartedly in Jim and Diana’s mission, and we encourage you to check out the beautiful products they handcraft. I can personally recommend their Bath Gel, Hair Wash, Deodorant, Lotion, Hand Soap, Toner, and Lip Balm. We won’t use anything else.
